Who needs a hair drug test?
Today, it is common for employers to require hair drug testing but this test is often requested by parents and even ex-spouses in custody negogiations as well.
Why hair drug testing?
Hair drug testing goes back much, much longer than urine drug testing. In fact, when you ingest drugs, it goes into the hair follicle, and then into the strands themselves. Considering that hair grows at a rate of approximately .5 inches per month, if your hair was 18 inches long, and you tested the ends of the strands, then you could find drugs consumed more than 3 years ago!
Before your hair drug screen
Clean hair samples are always the best so please do not apply mousse, gels or hair spray to your hair before this test.
During your hair drug test
Chiropractic Company follows standard testing practices. A small sample of hair is cut from your head at the root and is then trimmed off at 1.5 inches in length. The non-root end is discarded. This will provide a 3 month history.
